Supreme Distilleries Limited (SDL) won its second consecutive Chairman's Cup as the best performing company of the fourth quarter. The decision was made after a rigorous appraisal based on global best practices among all of Lexcel's subsidiaries.
The fourth quarter award event was held at the prestigious Lagos Sheraton Hotel and was attended by the Lexcel group chairman, Mr. Ola Rosiji among other key management officials.
SDL's competitors for the prize included Allied Atlantic Distilleries Limited, Grand Oak International Brands Limited, Nigeria Distilleries Limited, Lexcel Products and Packaging Limited and Grand Oak Limited.
Mr. Rosiji was proud of the achievement, saying "2014 has been the best of our years so far, every great organization should improve year on year".
The Lexcel Group Managing Director, Mr. Anil Ahluwalia shared some information about their plans for 2015. He said "Our theme shall be 'Collaboration and Closure'. We will work together to ensure we achieve our objectives and implement our strategy"
SDL Managing Director, Mr. Bola Soyinka revealed that the key success factors were a combination of teamwork and diligence. When asked about his plans for 2015, he said, "We are committed to achieving much more this year."
